Meetings
Monthly meetings are held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. These meetings usually feature a guest speaker addressing an aspect of Australian aviation history. Some meetings take the form of a members' night with aircraft recognition and aviation trivia competitions, and members encouraged to discuss their specific interests.
An annual public lecture known as the John Duigan Memorial Lecture is held in Melbourne and features a talk on a significant aspect of Australian aviation history. In Sydney, a similar event is known as the Arthur Butler Memorial Lecture that also features a special guest speaker.
The Society has active branches in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Branches meet once a month and usually feature a guest speaker. The meetings are free and visitors are always welcome to attend.
Victorian Branch
Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the RAAF Association, 24 Camberwell Rd, Hawthorn East, in the auditorium. The meetings start at 7.30pm - ring the bell if the front door is shut. Parking is available under the building - car park entry is from the lane at the south end. Visitors are welcome. New South Wales Branch
Meets the first Wednesday in every month at 7.45pm at Studio 1, Powerhouse Museum, entry from Macarthur Street end. For further information, contact Warwick Bigsworth on (02) 8824 7814.
Queensland Branch
Meetings are held on the last Friday of the month, at the RQAC. Visitors are welcome.
