Welcome to the Aviation Historical Society of Australia’s website. The AHSA is a group of like-minded people interested in recording and sharing the rich history of Australian aviation. Members are from all walks of life and their common passion is aviation.
The Society’s Aims
The lifeblood of organisations such as ours is research and the sharing of information. Much of our aeronautical history, has been lost or forgotten. Our aim is to save this vital part of our national story by encouraging the sharing of information, artefacts and personal experience, and to encourage participation in the Society by all interested people.
The AHSA publishes its journal Aviation Heritage four times a year, along with the Newsletter. The Society encourages members and the public to use the resources of the Society for individual research projects, magazine articles and submissions to our own publications. You are welcome to contact the AHSA via information detailed on the Contact Us page for information on Australian aviation history.
The Society has active branches in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Branches meet once a month and usually feature a guest speaker. The meetings are free and visitors are always welcome to attend.
